Four steps, and you are only without the room for the last one. Most of the work happens in the workshop, which is why the days in your house are short and why there is no sawdust in your living room for a fortnight.

What is involved
What actually happens, in order.
Nothing is ordered and nothing is cut until you have seen a drawing of your own wall.
We cover the whole of the Wirral for this, including Wallasey, Birkenhead and Bebington. Tell us your postcode and we will confirm the detail for your street.

You send a photo and a width
That is genuinely enough to say what will fit and what it starts at. It saves you a visit and it saves us quoting for something that was never going to work in that room.

We survey and draw it
Measurements, what is behind the plaster, where the sockets and the aerial are, whether the wall is plumb and whether the ceiling is level. Then a drawing of your wall with the real numbers on it.

It is made off site
Cut, assembled and finished in the workshop. This is the difference between a two day job and a two week one, and it is why the finish is better than anything sprayed in a room with furniture in it.

We fit it and take the mess
Frame, panels, fire, lighting, screen, making good. The offcuts, the old bracket and the packaging leave with us.

Do you charge for the survey?
No. The survey and the drawing are part of getting you a price, and you are under no obligation after them.
How long from ordering to fitting?
Typically two to four weeks, because the joinery is made to your measurements rather than taken off a shelf. The Bidston runs longer because the finishes are ordered in. You get a real date at the point of ordering.
How much mess is there?
Less than you expect, because the cutting and finishing happen in the workshop. There is drilling and there is dust where we make good, and floors are covered before anything starts.
Can we stay in the house?
Yes. You lose the one room for a day or two and the rest of the house carries on as normal.
What if the price changes once you open the wall up?
It does not. The price is agreed after the survey, which is the point of doing a survey, and we carry the risk of what we found there. The only thing that changes a price is you changing what you want.
Do you fit walls you have not made?
No. We cannot stand behind somebody else's frame or somebody else's fire clearances, so we only fit what we have made.
