Every price is a starting point rather than a final figure. What moves it is the width of the wall, the finish, and whether there is anything behind the plaster to work around.

Nothing above fits your room?
Every wall is made to measure. Send a photo of the wall and the sizes and we will design it around the room, including the awkward parts: a bay, a doorway too close to the breast, a sloping ceiling, a boiler that cannot move.
Design it yourself
Draw your wall.
Set the wall width, the screen and the options, and the drawing follows. Underneath it tells you which wall in the range is the closest fit and what it starts at.
Your wall preview
Closest wall in the range
The drawing is to scale and is there to help you decide, not to be a plan. Everything is measured properly at the survey before anything is made.
How it works
Four steps, and you are in the room for two of them.
-
Photos and sizes
Send a photo of the wall and a rough width. That is enough for us to say what will fit and what it starts at, without anybody coming out.
-
Survey and drawing
We measure properly, check what is behind the plaster and where the sockets are, and draw the wall. Nothing is ordered until you have seen it.
-
Made in the workshop
The panels are cut, built and finished off site. That is why the days in your house are short and why there is no spray finishing happening in your living room.
-
Fitted in a day or two
Frame, panels, fire, lighting and screen, then making good and the waste away with us. You get the room back the same week.
What is included in every wall.
- A survey with real measurements before anything is made
- A drawing of your wall, so you are not buying from a photograph
- Frame packed and shimmed until the face is flat and plumb
- Cabling routed inside the wall to a single outlet
- An access panel, because one day you will change the television
- Making good where the panelling meets plaster and skirting
- The old bracket, the offcuts and the packaging taken away
- A price agreed before we start, and no change to it afterwards
Fireplaces
The fire is the part you are really choosing.
Everything we fit is electric, so it can go on any wall in any house without a flue. The flame runs with the heat off, which is how most of them are used for most of the year.
Inset, 36 to 72 inch
A landscape fire set flush into the panelling with a lit reveal around it. The standard choice, and the one that suits a chimney breast.
Included from The Thurstaston up
Three sided
Open on the front and both ends, for a wall that genuinely returns and is seen from more than one direction. Wasted on a flat chimney breast.
from £900 as an upgrade
No fire at all
The Hilbre has no fire and does not pretend to. If the television is the point, this is the cheaper and simpler wall.
The Hilbre, from £4,000
The fire needs its own electrical supply. That part is booked in with an electrician and is the one element of the wall we do not do ourselves.

Walls in different rooms.
Different finishes, different rooms and different amounts of joinery, so you can find something close to your own room.
These are illustrative images of the finishes and configurations we build, not photographs of past jobs.
Good questions
Questions people ask.
Does it have to go on a chimney breast?
No. Most of our walls do, because that is where the television usually is, but a flat wall is actually easier to work with and often looks better, because there is no step to design around.
Do I need an electrician?
Only if there is a fire or a separate lighting circuit. A fire needs its own spur, which is electrical work, so that part is booked in with an electrician. A wall with no fire usually runs off the socket that is already there.
How long does it take?
One to two days on site for most walls, two for a Parkgate or a Bidston. From ordering to fitting is typically two to four weeks, because the joinery is made to your measurements.
What size television will fit?
Up to 65 inch on the Hilbre, up to 75 on the Thurstaston and the Caldy, and up to 85 from the Hoylake up. The limit is the width of the centre panel rather than the wall itself.
Can I keep my existing fire?
Sometimes. A gas or solid fuel appliance has completely different clearances from an electric one, so it changes how the frame is built and it has to be looked at during the survey rather than assumed either way.
Will the television get too hot above the fire?
No, because the clearance is built into the frame. Inset electric fires throw their heat forward and out of the top of the unit, and the screen recess above is set back and vented for exactly that reason.
Can I have one in a rented house?
You would need your landlord's written permission, because it is fixed to the wall and making good afterwards means replastering. Some landlords are happy with it. Ask before you order, not after.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Two to four weeks for most of the range, longer for a Bidston where the finishes are ordered in. You get a real date when you order rather than an optimistic one.
